Is the bulb included?

Yes! We really consider the bulb a part of the design since most of our lamps showcase the bulb, so we wouldn't consider sending you the lamp without the bulb.

How long do the bulbs last?

Although our bulbs look very old and often have hand wound filaments, they are modern lightbulbs. With standard medium bases which are said to last approx 3,000 hours. Although we haven't counted the hours, we are quite confident they will last a good long while.

How will I find a bulb as cool as this one?

You can find vintage style bulbs all over the internet. We send the box, so you can easily search for the exact style we used. You are also welcome to change it up. Simply make sure you are using the same type of base (standard, medium base for most of ours...like your ordinary light bulb base) and choose a style that would suit your lamp. You can get edison style at your local home improvement store, but they might be a little brighter than we like. We tend to use 30 and 40 watt bulbs, often with a bit of an amber or smoke tint. But there are a whole lot of options out there and the choice is yours.

You use a lot of vintage items and reclaimed wood in your lamps. Is the wire salvaged too?

Heck no. We only use brand new electrical parts for our lamps. They might look old and a little crusty on the outside, but everything that makes it a functional lamp is new. We like to keep our customers safe and our lamps running flawlessly.

What about LEDs?

They are actually making LED bulbs in the same vintage style! They won't have that awesome slow fade when they turn off like the standard bulbs do. But, if you prefer using LED, at least you can still get a vintage style for your lamp. They fit right in the socket – standard medium base is the size. Just search online for vintage style led bulbs and take your pick.

Can you make me a lamp out of this super awesome thing I have? Or, can you find this super awesome thing I want and make me a lamp?

Probably, yes. We have done quite a few custom lamps for folks and enjoy the challenge. Let's talk about it!
